(1,446 posts)I am impressed with the way the pitching has buckled down, even while the hitting has been off and on. Cueto and Samardzija have been great additions to the staff and complement Bumgarner well. If we can get Cain back on track and maybe get a quality start or two from Peavy now and then we could be well on our way to another title.
Between them, the Sharks, and the Warriors it has been quite the sports month.

(300 posts)If HRC wins the nomination, will the Democratic Party still exist? After Trump wins I really can't imagine that the fascists on the other side would be all that tolerant of ANY opposition regardless of how pro-corporate and banker-friendly it has become.

(21,184 posts)The GOP can't keep fighting and losing the culture wars. They might have to abandon the Tea Party radicalism. If they do, then their only close ally is DLC Democrats. If an alliance happens there, we may see a second major party rise up on the left. If that doesn't happen, I suspect we will see a primary challenger in 2020.

(41,600 posts)for those who choose to stay here, toeing the party line and worshiping Clinton is required. You're not free to speak your mind on DU, if she successfully steals the nomination.
I don't think she's going to make it to the convention before the FBI recommends INDICTMENT, so IMCPO, this is a moot point.
Things are looking mighty bad for the Queen 👑.

(25,816 posts)So, from what I can tell, criticism of HRC would have to stop during the GE and could resume afterwards.

(4,879 posts)I'm curious who leaked the OIG report before the State Department had time to conjure it's spin.
I watched today's presser. Nobody was interested in the announcement at hand. It became all about the leaked report. It was a total debacle for the State.

(4,879 posts)Without Bernie at the helm i would see little reason to come here.
Besides the Bernie and Working Poor Groups, I have little in common with anyone here.

(8,462 posts)Skinner hinted that they "won't be needed" after the primary in one of the Ask the Admins posts as I recall.
We shall know by July!

(23,272 posts)Check out the list of Democratic groups and you'll see a lot have kept going even after the nominee was a lock.
If HRC is the nominee, we'll be banned from negative commentary in the big groups but I presume this protected group will be fine. Bernies a Dem now.
