(2,012 posts)watching Jimmy and Rosalynn play with children and their families including my two year old great granddaughter at the Fernbank Museum in Atlanta after Christmas. Just think how different these two last years would have been for our nation if we had elected someone like Jimmy Carter.

(1,640 posts)Is that he soldiered through after a devastating, public loss. After which, he focused his energies into doing good for the whole world. Many people in a similar situation would have folded in upon themselves, or spent decades licking their wounds.
Carter is someone to keep in mind anytime you don't get something that you want or are apprehensive about the future and wondering if there are still worthwhile things ahead of you.
Think about how many thousands--possibly millions--of lives have been touched and improved because of Jimmy Carter's post-presidency service.
