I was hoping he would make it to Iowa, but all things considered given his very small path to picking up delegates I understand his decision. Not quite his time yet. But while he was in it, I think he voice added to the quality of the debate of issues. Best of luck Mr. Castro.

He'll be fine. He should work as a lawyer in private practice.

To be honest, I don't think there's an obvious route for him to continue in politics. His brother holds the congressional seat in San Antonio, and I doubt Julian Castro could win a statewide race in Texas. Maybe he could be a running mate for Warren, but I don't think he would fit for any of the other leading candidates and his performance in this race doesn't recommend him. And it's not clear what cabinet post he would be good for, other than HUD, which he's done.

Maybe time to move on.

Castro had some good ideas and was an experienced candidate. I liked him a lot but I'm not surprised that he dropped out. He is only 45 so he has a long career ahead of him.

Another 4 years will grow his resume, and hopefully it will finally get the liberal/left leaning Hispanic vote engaged in big numbers. I imagine a lot who already are are unhappy it didn't happen this time. But it's not just that.

For this dangerous election, all candidates were required right out of the gate to demonstrate their electability against the one who started over 30 points ahead, a devastating Catch 22.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
