From the outset, her speeches have been about her personal story, the stranglehold money has on politics, and what could be achieved by "2c". Medicare for All, got one or two mentions, usually in passing.

It was opposing campaigns that wanted to talk about Medicare for All. It was Bernie's plan, it was seen as a weakness, and they went after her, not him. They wanted a Mondale Moment that the GOP could use against her in the GE.

which focused attention on them. That would have invited scrutiny of the costs even if they'd been reliable.

She could have copied Sanders and Trump: promise far better for far less to get elected. Period.

But the other big problem was her honest and courageous explanation that it called for outlawing workplace insurance and limiting the rights of all for the good of all.

For excellent reason Sanders stays the hell away from that reality of universalist systems, no matter how often interviewers try to get him to speak honestly, instead tries to convince people public schools and the roads they drive are socialism. (Tell a lie often enough, suckers believe it.)

In any case, Warren is honest and courageous, and I admire her for that. It's the extremist elimination of our right and freedom to choose for ourselves, even to have alternatives, that cost her my support for president. I like her for the cabinet or possibly VP, which Biden wanted her for in 2015. Or always as a leader in the senate helping make things happen.

Every other candidate's healthcare plan remains nebulous in comparison and even the author of "the damn bill" has not had to explain it in detail as Warren had to.

Go figure.

giving sparse details about how he would enact all the promises that he is making. I guess it is all in line with society forcing women to be explicit about their proposals, while giving men some slack.

Anyone proposing such a drastic change to our healthcare should be prepared to address how it will be paid for. The mysogyny has more to do with how Bernie has been able to get away with not providing any details.

It’s not what got her where she was. Is is what brought her down.

I think Warrens plan to outline spending was damn near heroic. I was huge in her corner even though I thought she might be better off politically to ignore it. She went where the men backing the plan wouldn’t. Then she seemed completely unprepared for the inevitable blowback. Her whole teams response was bad. So let her get off of it for a bit. I would really like to see her surge.

It’s a big deal to me that she had the courage to outline where she would recommend getting the revenue from. I actually liked the plan as well. She kicks ass.

Her poll numbers have started to inch back up.

I believe that her two biggest mistakes were to embrace Bernie's poorly thought out MFA ideas, and when she finally had to provide details, she put forward a plan that had too short a conversion timeline.

Unions and people that have corporate healthcare like what they have. The critics of our healthcare system can scream until they are blue in the face, the reality is that many Americans are comfortable in the current system and view proposals to change it with some suspicion. I believe that Warren can overcome the doubts by expanding her conversion timeline from 100% conversion in 3 years to say 50% conversion by focusing on low hanging fruit in the first 3 years. If Americans see progress, they will re-elect her and she will get more time to get to 100% conversion.
