Jan 2020

July 13th...we have less than four months...and the GOP convention will be in the spotlight on August 24th...and for a couple weeks after it ends...which means September. This is nuts as Trump will be hard to beat and we need to begin this process as soon as possible...so if we wait until the convention, I fear we lose the general. My hope is we have a nominee on super Tuesday and we turn our attention to the general. If we have candidates who refuse to give up until July, we are truly fucked. A primary is to choose a nominee who can win a general period.

I'm not voting for Sanders either and won't repeat the reasons I have stated many times in the restrained terms allowed here. But I will say I believe choosing political leaders can sometimes be illuminating of character and morals in ways not all realize. I will not be voting for sanders in the Texas primary and I have decent hopes that sanders will not break the 15% threshold statewide. I doubt that sanders will be the nominee of the party. There are too many real democrats who ave good memories and who will not forgive or forget

I could do 10 threads right now if that's what we're doing.

Also, if your reasons were someone else's, I'd be a bit concerned.
