(7,675 posts)upon their platform versus going after each other. Personally I think any of the Dem candidates would make a good POTUS and far far better than the monster we now have. I just hope we don't have another 2016 where if someone's candidate isn't successful they do not vote like what happened last time. That is what happened especially by some Bernie voters although I do think the DNC was wrong in the way he was treated. Result - TRUMP WINS. I am not sure I can handle another 4 years.

(2,154 posts)Notice how there is a steady stream of them and sometimes two at the same time? What I am suspicious of is the incessant attacks on Bernie, and almost all of them are based upon half truths or out right lies. Time for the Mods here to do a bit of checking for who is posting this stuff.
From here, though, because there are so many anti Bernie troll posts at DU I am going to discount them all as lies and not even read them. Except to call them out..

(58,785 posts)been given appropriate scrutiny, but most of the MSM has hidden significant information about him. For the same reasons they did for Trump -- to put Republicans in power. We know this is true. The Mueller Report confirms that Russia was involved for the same purpose.
Shouldn't that mean that trying to inform people about Sanders is the principled thing to do? Look, sure there are a lot of people angry with Sanders, but truthful information about a candidate should not be mistaken for unresolved anger toward that candidate and rejected.
Two completely different things, and we all have a duty to examine all these people. No one should get a pass from scrutiny, and especially not one both our own RW and Russia have been promoting to defeat Democrats.

(10,219 posts)In no way does Bernie come close to the level of corruption that the orange blob does.
That is a false equivlancy and minimizes Traitor Trump's crimes.

(10,219 posts)When did Bernie say he could grab them by the pusssy????
When did he hoodwink a veteran's charity and a school?
By doing this false comparison it minimize all the crimes of Traitor Trump.
This is hyperbole and a false equivalancy.

(68,735 posts)on (not sure) because Trump is worse...vote for our nominee...cause Trump is worse...just doesn't sound right to me. Although any of our nominees have my vote. Sanders should not go after Warren...he did sign an agreement that he would not do so right?

(10,219 posts)Don't ever accept bad behavior from any candidate. I'm just saying make an apt comparison.
None of our Democratic candidates are as bad as Traitor Trump. None of them rise to his level of evil, incompetence and corruption.

(32,833 posts)... when Chump went around spouting his happy horseshit and getting a free ride during his first campaign. There was no blowback then, and probably none (or relatively little) now. And yet Democratic and independent candidates get taken to the cleaners on every frickin' thing they say.
I'm not sticking up for Bernie, I'm just saying the media needs to really examines both sides if they're going to claim "both-siderism" whenever it benefits Chump.

(1,812 posts)What a scandal . A staffer in Iowa issued a paper saying Elizabeth is the candidate of the elite ...No evidence that Bernie was aware of the paper ..What was stated in the paper was true .The Bernie campaign in Iowa is going to knock on 500,000 doors in January .. Most of door knockers are bright, friendly kids who want to create a Better America for us all . Soledad's analogy to Trump is quite frankly bizarre ... Soledad , my dear , Bernie was fighting for you - long before you were born ...He was arrested for you - long before you were born ..Bernie is the anti-Trump .He has been in the trenches for 50 years ; fighting for Civil Rights , Worker Rights and Gay rights- long before it was cool .. No other candidate can match his record of Public Service ..It's not even close

(16,887 posts)Are you saying that you agree or think it's ok that this "paper" bashed Warren as being a candidate "of the elites"?? What was stated in the paper was trash, and it should have no business in this primary.
Soledad is spot on here, Bernie should/could have at least said the content of the paper was off base, but he couldn't even do that. He blamed the media for making this a story. That, frankly, is a very Trumpian tactic.

(2,760 posts)They also repeatedly called Obama a Socialist and a Communist. They are going to call anyone and everyone on the left a Socialist. What difference does it make? The best way to cancel it out is to do exactly what Senator Sanders does, call yourself a Socialist.

I am mystified why anyone here would want such a thing.
I, personally, am fine with any Democratic candidate winning the next presidential election (every other election as well).
