We all knew that at some point Bernie and Liz were going to have to go after each other. They share big chunk of each others base and both of them need them all.

They spent months playing nice hoping that the other won would trip up or get taken out by somebody else, but now its too late in the game to wait anymore and the knives are out.

My bet is this ends up fracturing the liberal wing and turn a lot of the loyal Bernie voters completely against Warren and Vice Versa. Both have support that isn't part of the left as well, and those voters might begin to drift to moderate candidates as these two bloody each other.

It got ugly in Iowa and that turned a lot of voters off so they broke for Kerry and Edwards late.

it shouldn't be lost on us that Kerry is posted up in Iowa campaigning for Joe.

Kind of like in 2016 too, Trump was super negative and dirty running up to Iowa and he fell to third. Iowans don't seem to like negative campaigns running up to the caucus.
