Florida lawmaker backs Bloomberg

Politico

NEW YORK — Rep. Stephanie Murphy (D-Fla.) is endorsing Mike Bloomberg’s unconventional bid for president, telling POLITICO on Thursday that she believes his organization and resources best position him to beat Donald Trump in the fall.

Murphy — Bloomberg’s second congressional endorsement, and the first from outside New York — also cited the billionaire self-funder’s commitment to advancing gun control measures across the country.

“The work that Mayor Bloomberg has done through Everytown has been critical in allowing us to notch some of the legislative wins,” Murphy said on Thursday, referring to the Everytown for Gun Safety nonprofit that Bloomberg founded. “And I think Mayor Bloomberg, whether it is as an executive or as mayor or as a philanthropist, is focused on achieving results. And I believe this country needs that approach.”

Bloomberg’s campaign is staffing up big in Florida and sees the state — with its large population of New York expats and Jewish Americans — as a top target as part of its unprecedented strategy to compete in states that start voting on Super Tuesday.

Let's be clear, you're not only accusing Bloomberg of buying support, you're accusing elected House Democrats of selling it.

What does that deflection have to do with answering the question?

I don't "like" or "hate" politicians. I support those who are most likely to win and do an effective job in office.

And you still haven't provided any evidence for your bribery accusation, so we'll assume you don't have any.

I've met with him twice and seen him campaign three times. Nothing stands out as compelling.

As to who I HAVE given to, you can easily check my FEC records.

This is a political blog. I post newsworthy stories about politics and about all candidates. Six months ago, people were certain I was supporting Gillibrand because I posted stories about her.

FWIW - I don't "do" politics professionally.

Have been really curious to see how Bloombergs approach would pan out in the critical battleground states. As I've said from the beginning, my donations, time, support, and when it comes around primary vote will be for the candidate that polls strongest in the critical battleground states that ISN'T BS (not supporting him no matter what).

So far the only one I've seen is the recent EPIC-MRA that had Bloomberg doing +7 against Trump in Michigan.
