NEW post-debate SurveyUSA CALIFORNIA poll: Biden 30%, Warren & Sanders 20%, Buttigieg 8%

https://abc7.com/politics/surveyusa-poll-joe-biden-leads-among-democratic-primary-voters-in-ca/5858442/

LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- With voting for the Democratic primary less than two months away, an exclusive Eyewitness News poll finds former Vice President Joe Biden holding steady in the lead among voters in California.

The poll of Democratic primary voters in the Golden State shows Joe Biden at 30%, consistently running stronger in the state over the past six months.

Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders are tied for second place at 20% each.

Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg and former New York Mayor Mike Bloomberg were both with under 10%.

The poll also shows Sanders leads among California's youngest voters, Warren topped middle-age voters and Biden is favored among seniors.

In the poll, which was conducted by SurveyUSA, 2,400 Californians were interviewed ahead of the primary on March 3. Here is the full list and the results of each question:

Editing to add that SurveyUSA is the ONLY A-rated California poll. All the other state polls done in California have been lower-rated.

Thought I'd add that after seeing this tweet from journalist Greg Mitchell:

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Averages have a virtual tie with Bernie slightly ahead. SHould probably wait until a poll confirming this is released.

Those do exist. It's like Biden's Rasmussen: No other polling company agrees.

The quality of the poll does not mean that it is consistent with everybody else. And it's inconsistency also does not mean it's wrong either. Many outlier polls were the prevailing one in many contests -likely because of their quality.

But every other polling company has Sanders in the lead. The last 3 survey usa polls had Biden up by 10,15 and 9, so their method obviously is geared to poll mostly people over 40 and sample very little under 40.

Sanders 20% is his highest number in this poll Since April.

29% are between the ages of 18-34. 24% between the ages of 35-49. Splitting the second group evenly by age would give about 37% in the under 40 age bracket.
