Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumCenk Uygar just called the article Sanders apologized for the best ever written on politics - UPDATE
Predictably, some of Sanders' noisiest supporters aren't backing away from the smear, and some are even doubling down on it.

I saw quite a few tweets from Sanders supporters last night that complained about his apology to Biden, too.
Including the Humanist Report:

(7,113 posts)He was a Republican activist as a young man, but claims he switched politics because of the way those on the right treated Bill Clinton during his impeachment.
Since then, he has spent much of his time attacking both Bill and Hillary just as fervently but from the left.
I don't buy it.

(47,663 posts)Seriously? What the hell, is Sanders Obi-Wan Kenobi?
I swear, I think some of these people hate Democrats as much, if not more than republicans. This is insane.

(2,256 posts)First it was Obi-Wan was their only hope, then Luke Skywalker, then Rey. Seems to me if they had just pooled their resources and worked together, they couldve achieved peace a lot more quickly and without all of the bad shit that happens. I think that point applies here as well.

(38,687 posts)Biden's crime was to disobey Bernie. The one paragraph I read:
"Second, healthcare. On 25 April, the day he announced his campaign, Biden went straight to a fundraiser co-hosted by the chief executive of a major health insurance corporation. He refuses to sign a pledge to reject money from insurance and pharma execs and continues to raise money from healthcare industry donors. His campaign is being bankrolled by a super Pac run by healthcare lobbyists."
Biden went to a fundraiser. The hyperlink leads to an Intercept article, There were lobbyists!! Hence corruption
He refuses to sign a pledge....The hyperlink leads to a NY Times article "Sanders Calls for Rivals to Reject Money From Health Care Industry" The fuck why? Because M4A good. The entirety of the healthcare industry we already have is bad. They don't want M4A. Neither does Biden. He prefers Obamcare. Won't sign Bernie's pledge. Corrupt!
Second hyperlink leads to Open Secrets "Which 2020 Democrats are taking money from the healthcare industry?" Because now this is a crime. Bernie says so. All the Dems taking money, all corrupt. Especially Biden. He got the most.
His campaign is being bankrolled. Another hyperlink to Intercept. What amazing journalism. Link to a billionaires vanity site and let ratfuckers from the left do the heavy lifting. Which is take down names and imagine corruption. They imagine the most about Joe Biden.
Bernie now gets to dictate who you can fundraise from. His is small and pure. So he gets to set the rules. And he gets to write the loyalty pledges and please bring him home some lobster sliders.

(58,785 posts)has association with Russia, and has since served as a CONNECTOR of unsuspecting members of the Sanders left with the right. Messages like this develop and strengthen a bridge of beliefs for both sides to meet on.
Association with Russia raises questions particularly because our intelligence services say Putin is attempting to join the far left with the right to form a majority to defeat the Democratic Party. However, our RW leaders of course are attempting exactly the same, and Uygur could be working directly for them alone, or both. Russia and the Republicans both must defeat the Democrats, or else.
In any case, whatever's going on in his head, even if it's just an ant infestation, his actions consistently benefit the anti-democracy RW McConnell's acting for in the senate and actions speak far louder than any rhetorical disguises not given credibility by action.

(3,256 posts)The campaign always lacked messaging discipline and this is a clear evidence of that.
It is not a well-run, well-organized campaign - it is every bro for himself/herself.
This will make Bernie sink further and pretty much destroys Uigur's nascent political career.
