If Obama also speaks out against Sanders does he have a chance?

Long before Hillary's attack on Bernie, there were reports that he was the one candidate Obama would openly oppose if he seemed likely to get the nomination:

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/obama-bernie-sanders-2020-nomination_n_5ddd31a1e4b00149f724793b?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAKUf4fCclqdAhyCy6aJJl2Qa7Uze6b647dWrqcH3uLiNHKQKYQSHgDHI85eU2QXUOQvC1wdfaBhWvv1l-1DCR3kCnuXtNNKlRRFsbiZ_bU_X6a_-yw2K2QQfmJn07PW1U5U0o6-cAYd2n2RAKcLC4DQfNF7JovJlONYIfqG6zRHx

If Obama does speak out in a manner similar to Hillary, does Bernie even have a chance? I personally doubt it- both Hillary and Obama have a lot of people who put a lot of weight in what they say.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

I would want it to be against Trump. In fact, could you imagine the show of force if the remaining living Presidents did a group video speaking out against Trump? I believe that could go a long way to healing the country and getting us back on track.

If he does anything he would endorse a candidate, but I don't think he will even do that. He didn't last time; he waited until the convention to throw his support behind the candidate.

That is probably what he will do again.

Now that's not to say surrogates won't pepper the landscape. But that is politics as usual.

Besides, why would he? What possible reason would he have that the voters won't already support?

Let it go.

It is clearly her belief that his run against her was part of why she lost. I doubt that Obama would make the type of comment that Hillary made against anyone. Obama is not prone to over the top statements and I doubt he would say that no one liked him.

That's what the voters said last time, and what the polls are showing this time.

Sanders is only getting about 20% in polls nationally. Are you saying that 80% of the party are centrists? I don't think so.

"Many" is a vague word so you can use that if you want, but so far it has only been shown that POC have, to date, preferred other Democratic candidates over Sanders. Yet Sanders had notably more support among Blacks for example than did Booker before he dropped out. Do Blacks dislike Booker? From everything I've read Sanders has generally positive approval ratings among POC, and he now is polling second among African Americans, and first among African Americans below 35. And Sanders is doing well among Hispanics also.

In doing that, he is following the lead of other Democratic Presidents. Hillary Clinton speaks as someone who is a private citizen now. Obama has to take a different approach during the primaries.

However, I can imagine a point where he breaks with tradition and speaks out in favor of one candidate or against another one. I'm certain he does not want to do that, though.

If he does speak on the subject, it will have a powerful impact on the primary race, which is why he does not want to do so.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden
