I think that Bernie is right to take the high road here. He is doing his job right now in the Senate. Let Hillary Clinton snipe at him from the sidelines if she wishes, but I don't think that she is being helpful and she risks alienating a large chunk of voters who will be needed in November.

(145,718 posts)I will support the nominee of the party but I strongly doubt that sanders will be the nominee of the party. There are far too many real Democrats who have good memories and who will not forgive or forget

(4,341 posts)and here we are...we need to stop the negativity against any of our candidates, it does no good.
If Bernie wins I can assure you all that Hillary's words will be used by the republicans against Bernie, she has just given republicans ammunition to go against one of our candidates.

(4,341 posts)This is so unhealthy and not useful at all, this is why many Bernie supporters stayed home in 2016. I like Hillary a lot, but this time she needs to keep her negative opinions to herself, it does no good to the effort of removing the con.

(10,500 posts)She never laid a glove on him. Seriously, she ran an incredibly clean campaign against him.
Bernie supporters stayed home, or voted for Trump, in spite of the fact that HRC bent over backwards to show Bernie respect and to avoid criticizing him.

(68 posts)You should search for caucus videos and news from 2016. The DNC and Hillarys campaign played some really dirty tricks to keep Bernie from winning the primary.
However, as much as I hated what they did, I held my nose and voted for her.

(10,500 posts)if they had wanted to. It does not have that kind of power.
In now way were the circumstanced confronted by Bernie any different than what previous primary candidates faced. The DNC played no more role in that primary than in any other.

(29,676 posts)I feel proud to say I campaigned and voted for her in 2016.
I'm tired of men telling it like it is and being applauded for being truthful but women are abrasive, dwelling on the past and unlikable. In other words, women are expected to shut up,nod their heads and look pretty.

(253 posts)Sanders is a self absorbed egotist, just as he was in 2016. Remember, Sanders was the already DEFINITIVELY defeated candidate in 2016 who REFUSED to allow Hillary to be nominated by the 2016 convention by acclamation. He is NO Democrat (just ask him), and he doesnt much care about the future of the United States either.

It does occur to me that this follows shortly on a Obamas comments about now is not the time to swing left. That doesnt bode well.
