Democratic Primaries
Related: About this forumWhy is there so little discussion about Warren or Klobuchar in this thread?
Most contributions in this thread are in one way or other about Biden, Sanders, a few about Buttigieg. There is much less discussion of Warren, almost nothing about Klobuchar. Why is that? Anybody who is inclined to vote for Biden should very seriously consider Klobuchar. Her impressive endorsements make that very clear. Anybody who is inclined to vote for Sanders should very seriously consider Warren. Her endorsements make that clear, too. Why is it not happening?

(2,706 posts)The fact is, Amys best chance is on a Joe/Amy ticket.
Amy would need Joes voters to win the nomination. And Joe isnt going anywhere. And if Amy want those voters, she cant go negative.
Im voting for Amy in NV. But the likely outcome is Biden wins the nomination.

(146,340 posts)Klobuchar is not one of those. There has been a lot of talk about her maybe being Biden's VP choice. That could happen. What will not happen is her moving into the top-tier of candidates or becoming first or second.
Warren is still a top-tier candidate, but her poll numbers have been going down, not up. Same with Buttigieg. Meanwhile, Bloomberg is challenging in the top four.

I was a big supporter of Warren until that wine cave crap & leaking that stuff about Bernie. Sorry that stuff turned me off. Just seemed too dirty. I still support Warren and I love her and everything she stands for.
Amy is just too condescending. I do not like her "pipe dream" or " back to reality" remarks in the debate. I do like a lot of what she says and I see her appeal.

(28,863 posts)Why would I discuss them at this point if decided? Many posts are click bait and not really for discussion.
I dont like Warren
I like Klobuchar.
Is that discussion enough?

(25,487 posts)Those on the other side believe the opposite, and are trying to convince us of that fact.
Amy absolutely would be our best candidate in the general election. She'd win the largest Electoral College share. Trump couldn't attack her on her "radical" policies - because she doesn't have them.
If Amy is the candidate... the entire election becomes a complete referendum on Donald Trump. And in that scenario, we win.
If Biden gets the nomination, we still likely win - but it is more nervous because of the possibility of a bad viral moment.
If Liz or Bernie get the nomination, we're toast. I live in a red area of a purple state. Liz or Bernie as our nominee, our state (PA) goes to Trump. Biden or Klobuchar, it goes to us. And if we can't win PA, we can't win the election.

My goodness though, you must have missed the substantive threads about where Warren lives, what she wears, what her voice sounds like, etc.

(21,646 posts)I think its interesting to see if her Midwest appeal will strengthen as it gets closer in IA .
I think the many undecided may default to the familiar and she may surprise that night
I think a lot people here are doubled down on the two front runners per polls instead of discussing the primary as a whole and its ever changing dynamics.
For instance, I may not vote for her, but it sure is interesting to see how she jumped in the last poll posted in the link above and I discussed what I saw as her advantage in IA and others had their say too and it was mostly positive .
I prefer posts highlighting something like this in the poll changes instead of the overkill on Biden Sanders
Warren is at the top of the forum page still and
leads DU with the highest ( following high undecided %) percentage, but again I think she is filtered out more as the B vs B threads pile on.
