If I were an Iowan I'm afraid I might switch to Biden.

Last edited Mon Feb 3, 2020, 04:37 PM - Edit history (1)

I've been waiting and hoping to see Americans finally create a structural change wave. But one led by Warren, not Sanders. Watching Sanders regain a place at the top scares me. I delivered precinct G for George McGovern and delivered Massachusetts (joke), but I don't want to make that mistake again. I'm afraid Sanders might build on the fragmentation of the rest of the field and would probably vote to help coalesce a non-Sanders faction. Biden seems to be it. I'm glad I don't have to make a decision this early.

Edit on the day of the caucuses: Well, if I were an Iowan, I'd stick with Warren. I've decided it's too early to jump ship in fear of Sanders. I'll wait till after the 1st 4 states to see how the wind is blowing. To see if maybe we do have a mini-revolution a brewing. I'm not concerned at all about the "woman" thing. Hillary one by 3 million votes.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Why focus on Warren so intently? Both camps laid off Sanders after his health scare, assuming he was no longer a threat. I credit them for Sanders rise now.

I am not rewarding either of them for their cynical targeting of Warren and even attacking her integrity.

Biden Attacks Warren: "She's Going to Raise People's Taxes”

Joe Biden slammed Elizabeth Warren for dodging the middle class tax question and said that her ‘Medicare for All’ plan would raise taxes.

"It’s going to cost a lot of money and she's going to raise people's taxes doing it," Biden said during a town hall in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on Friday.

Responding to Biden, Warren dodged the question again and told a CNN reporter that "Giant corporations are going to see their costs go up. But costs, for middle class families, for working-class families, for the people that are squeezed so badly, are going to go down."

Biden rips Warren's credibility after contentious Democratic debate
Trevor Hunnicutt

COLUMBUS, Ohio (Reuters) - Democratic presidential contender Joe Biden questioned surging rival Elizabeth Warren’s credibility on Wednesday, accusing her of failing to be open with voters about how she would pay for her ambitious Medicare for All healthcare proposal.

Biden said it was “absolutely ridiculous” that Warren would not delve into the details of her healthcare proposal, drawing a comparison to Trump.

I do not like Sanders. I do not want Sanders. There is no part of Sanders I like.

I want Biden and either Val Demmings or Kamala Harris. I like Joe Biden.

I will vote for Sanders if he gets the nomination but he will not win. I don't care how many college students like Sanders, most of them won't show up to vote anyway.

I am a 68 year old woman and I really fear if Sanders get he nomination, there are a lot of
republicans Lite and independents who might vote for Biden but WILL NOT vote for Sanders.

Warren is by far and away my preferred choice, but I'm also terrified of Sanders winning the nomination. Even if he could beat Trump, I think that Bernie's go-it-alone attitude and unwillingness to compromise would make him a terrible President, just at a time when real challenges - including a likely recession (which we're due to have) - will hit the country. I don't always agree with Biden, but he's as decent and honorable as they come, as well as a lifelong Democrat. And if he's what it takes to stop Sanders and to start cleaning up Trump's mess, I'm 100% in.
