He got the community health centers added to the ACA bill. That is what was he was talking of -- and no, they aren't all in VT.

That was something he actually was given credit on. Many other points were things that he and many other worked on for which credit is split. EVERY year, it seemed that various New England Senators fought for LIHEAP. He was not the fist, the only or the last.

There are many ways to move legislation. Many large programs were introduced as bills and then the sponsor convinced a committee working on a major bill to include it. Here, he is the one credited with getting the community health centers - that have been the place that many in rural states have gotten care. Another way that you can get something passed is to use the amendment process to get it added to a bill.

Most bills have the names of the committee chair and the ranking member. This is why many people who did really pass legislation may not have many bills if what you do is to look at the 2 names on the bill. Sanders DOES have his name (with McCain) on a major VA bill.

Given their seniority, he might have more legislation than Warren. This does not mean he was a better legislator. Warren, of course, pretty much created the Consumers' Bureau, but she was not in the Senate and the bill it passed in was Dodd/Frank. Biden, who won his seat in 1972, was very senior for a very long time - chairing - at different times - Judiciary and then Foreign Relations. Klobuchar is someone who has many legislative accomplishments.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

....school in Brooklyn"! WOW! Turns out that he really didn't, his school was defeated in the title game (as indicated in the link provided).

On the other hand, I just took another, random, accomplishment out of the list, this one: "Caused voter turnout to double during his tenure" (as Mayor)

That's an exaggeration, or he's really bad at math (no wonder he doesn't want to tell us how he'll fund his medicare for all?)

Voter Turnout:

1981 9880
1983 13320 (+35% over his first election)
1985 10269 (+4% over his first election)
1987 12094 (+23% over his first election)

In the real world "double" is 100%.

I'm sure there are others that aren't accurate, too.

Addicting Info Media

These media sources are moderately to strongly biased toward liberal causes through story selection and/or political affiliation. They may utilize strong loaded words (wording that attempts to influence an audience by using appeal to emotion or stereotypes), publish misleading reports and omit reporting of information that may damage liberal causes. Some sources in this category may be untrustworthy.

Overall, we rate Addicting Info a borderline Questionable Left Biased source due to far left bias and Mixed for factual reporting based on multiple failed fact checks.. (5/13/2016) Updated (D. Van Zandt 10/15/2019)

"The National Affordable Housing Trust Fund Act". That was actually introduced in the HOUSE by his arch-rival Barney Frank in 2007, at a time when Sanders was in the Senate.

Who could forget about Vermont Bicentennial Day? He got the most co-sponsors of any of his bills for that.

Quite the success story for almost 30 years in Congress.
Damn, that must have been a tough time. Couldn't get anything of his own passed for 11 years until post office number 1. After that, he hit another dry spell for 7 years until he remembered his last success and got post office number 2 renamed.
