Does anyone know how you throw an ex- Prez in jail? How does that work with Secret Service protection and so on? dutch777 Apr 18 #1
I'm guessing since this has never happened before in history, they'd have to decide on new rules... Rhiannon12866 Apr 18 #3

Do you really just have to default to home detention with limited communication or what? I'd love for Trump to test these waters on many cases, but I think the judges he stands before have this issue that is before them beyond the limited scope of the case that goes unspoken but is daunting and substantive. I am sure all that read this would like to default to "just lock him up" but in reality whether the result of a gag order or contempt citation in court, just what does that look like and how is it really handled?

And we learned that there's a jail cell through the door at the back of the courtroom for incarcerated defendants waiting for trial - so a jail cell is not far away if they decide to use it.
