(2,890 posts)so good she was just here helping me to a little cleaning and getting the trash out for trash day (too heavy for me to carry). She's also cooking supper to bring over for tonight when I bring hubby home from the hospital. I mean, she's a *really* sweet individual that I've known for about 5 years now. But only recently did I realize she's more "independent" "both sides" on politics. I've been trying to wake her up to the politics of the last 10 years and how much its changed... especially for women. She's got young girls/women close to her who are being impacted, but it just didn't seem to be much because it doesn't affect her (perimenopausal). I think I'm making some headway, between me and a close friend we share (who's all politics like I am). It's getting through to her husband that's the big issue. I love him dearly, and he's helped me so many times through the years... including bringing me A/C when ours went out during a heatwave... I haven't had the heart to flat out ask him if he'd ever vote for Trump... but I do think he's one of those who'd vote 3rd party just to be contrary to all politics.
I've got more work to do with them... this kind of ad they don't see... they're not blog people... other than animal rescue and tech blogs. I wish these ads would show on TV. They need to be seen much more widely than just blogs.
