worse, so it's all on him. It's his fault we can only estimate how many lives could have been saved if he had done his job.

Also, there were other ways you could have tried to make that point. Easiest of all would be to turn it into a question rather than flatly state it as fact. Or there are variations of the old standard there are those who say . (I think Barbara Walters used that one.) That way youre not saying what YOU think, even though that may well BE what you think. But when you make it a flat statement then youre treading on wobbly ground. And you better be able to back it up with facts as opposed to merely stating an opinion.
