Pro-Russia Propagandist Unmasked as New Jersey Tropical Fish Seller.
Source: The Telegraph
To her devoted followers, "Donbas Devushka" - or Donbas Girl - is a Russian Jew from the occupied Ukrainian city of Luhansk, who has faithfully broadcast Kremlin propaganda for months.
But in reality, she is Sarah Bils, a 37-year-old divorcee from New Jersey and a US Navy veteran who served as an aviation electronics technician at Whitby Island in Washington State.
Donbas Devushka emerged after Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in February last year.
She built up a sizeable social media following on Twitter, Telegram and YouTube, emerging as the face of Russian propaganda, raising money and selling merchandise for the Russian cause.
Using assorted pseudonyms including CheburekiVibes, MeatballSubZero, YuGopnik, GhostofLugansk, she has amassed 135,000 subscribers to her podcast on which she broadcasts with a cod "Russian" accent.

We appear to have a problem with former service members. Does this extend to active members? Also, I'd like to see who funder her when she kicked this off. Unless she got lucky, this doesn't seem like something just anyone could pull off.

New Mexico Police Shot and Killed a Man After They Went to the Wrong House While Responding to a Dom
Source: CNN
Authorities are investigating the shooting of a man killed by police at his northwestern New Mexico home after they arrived at the wrong address, police said.
Robert Dotson, 52, was killed Wednesday night by officers with the Farmington Police Department after they received a call reporting a domestic violence incident around 11:30 p.m. and went to his house instead of the one across the street, according to local and state police.
I am just heartbroken.
Mr. Dotson was not the subject of this call, Farmington Police Chief Steve Hebbe said during a Thursday video statement posted on Facebook. This ending is just unbelievably tragic. Im extremely sorry that were in this position.
Upon arriving to the neighborhood in Farmington, which is about 150 miles northwest of Albuquerque, officers mistakenly approached 5305 Valley View Avenue instead of 5308 Valley View Avenue, New Mexico State Police said in a statement Thursday.
After no one answered their knocks on the door, police officers asked the dispatch to call the person who reported the incident and ask them to come to the front door.
At some point, Dotson opened the door of his home while armed with a handgun and at least one officer shot at least one round from their gun, striking and killing Dotson at the scene, according to state police citing body camera footage.
Armed with a handgun, Dotsons wife exchanged gunfire with officers, but she was not injured, authorities said.

Some Clothing Workers in Los Angeles Earn as Little as $1.58 an Hour, Labor Department Finds
Source: CBS News
Fashionistas who buy garments labeled "Made in USA" may be unwittingly contributing to workers' wage theft, according to a new report from the U.S. Department of Labor.
A random sweep of 50 garment manufacturers in Los Angeles found that 80% were breaking wage and hour laws, regulators said. The agency also found that 64% didn't keep accurate time and pay records, while more than half either paid workers off the books or falsified or didn't provide such information.
More than half the contractors paid workers off the books and either falsified time and pay records or didn't provide them, according to the agency.
The contractors made clothing for major national brands including Dillard's, Lulus, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Socialite, Stitch Fix and Von Maur, the Labor Department said.
About one-third of the apparel makers paid their workers according to how many items they produced, instead of an hourly rate something California explicitly outlawed more than a year ago. Paying workers a "piece rate" often leads to sub-minimum wages. One contractor paid workers $1.58 per hour, the agency's investigation found.

Repeating Radio Signal Leads Astronomers to an Earth-size Exoplanet
Source: CNN
Astronomers have detected a repeating radio signal from an exoplanet and the star that it orbits, both located 12 light-years away from Earth. The signal suggests that the Earth-size planet may have a magnetic field and perhaps even an atmosphere.
Earths magnetic field protects the planets atmosphere, which life needs to survive, by deflecting energetic particles and plasma that stream out from the sun. Finding atmospheres around planets located outside of our solar system could point to other worlds that potentially have the ability to support life.
Scientists noticed strong radio waves coming from the star YZ Ceti and the rocky exoplanet that orbits it, called YZ Ceti b, during observations using the Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array of telescopes in New Mexico. The researchers believe the radio signal was created by interactions between the planets magnetic field and the star.
A study detailing the findings was published Monday in the journal Nature Astronomy.
