Gump only knows how to negotiate from a position of overwhelming strength. The only negotiating tools he knows how to use are threats and intimidation. He first takes something away and then offers to bestow it once again as long as certain new considerations are made...in other words 'I want everything my way, and if you get in my way I'll destroy your life, harass your family, burn your house down and then kill your dog.'
