I will NEVER forgive OR forget what fucking Nader did. It made NO sense whatsoever, especially since I'm not sure how Nader could NOT have known what a republi-CON White House would do to all of his hard-fought consumer-protection work over several decades. Seriously! Was he THAT naive??? At his age - then? He and his damn fucking ego got us a couple of war criminals and torture excusers instead of a much-needed boost to worldwide environmentalism and wise stewardship of the planet. The votes that went to him would have gone to Al Gore, and we wouldn't have had more than FOUR THOUSAND unnecessary deaths in that stupid damn war-based-on-lies in Iraq. Most, if not all, of those lost soldiers and staffers would likely still be alive and sharing many Christmases and birthdays and Easters and Hannukahs and 4th of July picnics with their families and kids. Because Al Gore wouldn't have lied us into an unnecessary war of choice in Iraq.

It can also be argued that but for Ralph Nader's being a FUCKING SPOILER, we might not have had a September 11th. Why do I say that? Because the then-outgoing Clinton administration warned the then-incoming bushies that terrorism was going to be their biggest and most urgent concern. When bush/cheney took over, they sneered at all things Clinton and deliberately disregarded whatever advice had been offered. Why? Because Clinton. So they did NOTHING in the months leading up to that September. They never bothered picking up that particular ball and running with it, as they should have - and as Al Gore clearly understood and would have done. And while dim-bulb dubya declared cheney the head of a task force on terrorism, cheney did NOTHING. Didn't even hold a meeting - until, if memory serves, THAT SAME WEEK in September 2001. A little too late to start doing something about it when the towers had already been reduced to nothing but piles of fresh smoldering rubble. THANKS A HEAP, Ralph. THAT ONE is on YOU, too.

I think that's why I've been so hard on the spoilers we've seen pop up in the years since then. Often times, because I've tried to pay at least some attention, I've found myself listing numerous items that would have been handled much better and more more wisely than what happened - because some damn fucking CON was able to cheat his way into the White House.
