Police and locals snatched up the beer supply of a German town on the Polish border ahead of the arrival of 600 Nazi rock fans, in town for the Shield and Sword festival of music and hate.
Ostritz cops seized more than 1,300 gallons of beer from attendees over the weekend, while the nearly towns 2,700 citizens purchased 200 crates of ale from local supermarkets so the right-wing rockers couldnt restock, according to the BBC.
A German court banned alcohol from the event in an effort to curb Nazi activity in the region.
We wanted to dry the Nazis out, activist Georg Salditt reportedly told local media.
One German paper reported the SS festival drew 1,200 fans in 20018, but half that number over the weekend. Roughly 1,400 police officers were said to have officers watched over concertgoers at the event.
