18. I was recently reading about Ulysses Grant. It does seem like his presidency

is being reappraised, mostly favorably, by modern historians. Some of the things I thought I "knew" about him turned out to be false. EDIT: I didn't mean historians are now saying he was a good or great president, just that they were saying he wasn't as bad as earlier appraisals indicated.
