(58,899 posts)35. From what I've read, TX was never on the national grid...
or at least most of it. Apparently there are some areas in the panhandle and in East TX that are connected to adjoining states.
I also hear that much of Northern Mexico is losing power because the TX natural gas pipelines have been freezing up and failing.
