83. Your approach is problematic to your goal

The vast majority of legally owned guns are never used in crimes let alone violence. When you treat gun owners as criminals you reinforce resistance to any changes that might be helpful to reduce gun violence. This is why gun control has largely been failing for the last 20 years.
