Despite all the red flags, the Rs have gone ahead and nominated an adjudicated rapist as their POTUS candidate for 2024. This while said rapist is engaged in four CRIMINAL cases with 91 counts against him. The rapist is draining R coffers to fund his legal bills, leaving few if any resources available to fund down-ticket races, let alone that for POTUS.

In the meanwhile, the House sham impeachment has fallen apart, exposing Rs as the lying hacks they are. Rs are choosing not to run for reelection, paving the way for a massive blue wave in November. Also in the meanwhile, Ds are voting in hordes, with D-backed initiatives passing in red states. Ds are angry and energized, and they will turn out in Nov. At the same time, Rs are deserting the party, with many planning on voting for Joe in Nov.

It seems to me that Ds had a plan - sit back and stay out of the way as Rs and the media anointed tRump, announced the demise of Biden and played their games of whataboutisms, all supported by biased polling that oversampled Rs and nonvoters. All that changed with the SOTU, which was the signal that the gloves were off and that Ds were fully engaged in prosecuting the case to reelect Joe Biden…and to obliterate the Rs on every level, starting with the rapist. That means identifying tRump as a rapist. That means reviewing tRump’s actual record as POTUS, included those million-plus deaths from COVID, including his deficit, including his racist pronouncements, including what he said today.

These things don’t happen by chance. Ds counted on the slow-on-the-uptake media to parade their tired false equivalences and political bromides while they built a massive war chest and developed issues to run on that will overwhelm the Rs, who have nothing to run on but a cult of personality.
