I think Boeing needs to some steering correction, but people are, IMHO, WAY overreacting to the Boeing situation. Airline accidents are big news and scary, but remain an extremely small risk. Commercial airline safety remains near record highs. I think lots of folks let the emotion of thing outweigh the actual data. Ya wanna save lives? Auto accidents kill about 43,000 people a year. Airliners are vastly safer than driving, despite the fact that airline incidents gets lots of press and trigger a lot of fears.
