From what I’ve read this can be a ‘warning’ that this person is prepared to use violence to defend a point of view. People who disrespect the flag can not be reasoned with. They are the only humans on the earth. The rest are potential targets. What it breaks down to is this person has all of the rights. If a neighbor were to put up a flag or sign of a different philosophy they could be subject to retaliation. Our political signs for a presidential candidate were shot at a week after they burned another to the ground. Hence we keep our choices to ourselves void having a bullet through the house. That’s the way bullying works.
