Minor but meaningful election in AZ tonight! UPDATE!!!! [View all]

My water and electrical utility: Salt River Project (SRP) is having elections for their board and committee.

There are extreme Repubs, and even a literal Nazi serving.
There has been a big effort made to overturn that, but it's really hard because the system is not one person one vote.
It's one acre one vote. So, the average household gets 1/4 vote.
Whereas, these MAGAt farmers get 300 votes.

Think good thoughts for us!!!

UPDATE!!!!

Results are still unofficial, but it looks like the good candidates (non-partisan) will prevail!!

This is a pretty big upset and took a lot of work to reach out to many, many voters with 1/4 of a vote to unseat the MAGAts with dozens (sometimes hundreds) of votes.
