RW news of all types has made deep-seated inroads in rural communities--even if it comes from dissemination from one viewer to many non-viewers, newspaper editorials, RW AM radio (Limbaugh to current) or other sources, including the lies of RW politicians. It need not all be from FOX, but that is among the most successful influences (after decades of Limbaugh).

That said, the fact is that Biden wins in diversely populated rural counties, but Trump dominates in predominantly white rural counties across the country. But no. Rural populations/rural counties alone are hardly sufficient to elect either one.
