I've been mulling over the idea that The Pustule's legal problems might spark a rebellion at the repuglikan convention this summer. My dark scenario is that, even though enough delegates are committed to him to give him the nomination, the GOPher poobahs get spooked about him losing in November and ram through a plan to take it away from him and make Nimrata Haley the nominee. The only thing that keeps me from going bonkers over this scenario is thinking that if it happens, the MAGAts will abandon the party, and Biden coasts in. But then I think, yeah, the MAGAts would be mad as hell, but they would come back, hold their noses, and vote for Nimrata solely to keep Biden from winning. It's really unsettling me. Do we need to talk about this?

Of course, I suppose that Lara's firm, sterling "leadership" at the helm would prevent this from ever happening......
