There are certainly people trying to hijack the protests and turn them into full-throated destruction of Israel by hardcore Hamas and Palestinian supporters.

Demanding a cease fire is a noble goal and is historically a very common college campus protest cause. I wish them success; but these protests seem to be in serious danger of becoming something ugly and nefarious.
