He tried to claim the font was “Times New Roman or Palatino” — which are completely different fonts from each other, and not at all the slab serifs in question. But he's a RW lawyer and not a typographer.

Several typewriter models such as the IBM Selectric II, which was available at the time, had proportional spacing and the superscript TH.

That said, the signature looked pasted on, and the chain of custody was fucked.
