The people behind the curtain [View all]

Something that keeps nagging at me throughout all this insanity is the fixers and just the inside people that seem to know everybody and everything, that rich assholes like TSF have floating in their orbit.
The couple that come to mind in his case are Pecker, Cohn, Epstein and Hicks.

These people that seem to be so inexplicably well connected and dialed in and in some cases, like Pecker and Epstein, very wealthy themselves, how do these people get into these positions? How do you become the fixer? The well connected? The inside man as it were?
These people seem to flow from social setting to social setting with ease and always have an angle, even if it's not apparent at first.
What's even more interesting is that for all the mud they wipe up, for all the blood they spill, if anything goes sideways, they can fully expect to be left holding the bag in the end.
Just ask people like Hope Hicks or Michael Cohen what happens when, not if, the walls start closing in.
To me it's just a bizarre way to live and while it can have significant fringe benefits, it also has significant risks, especially if you are the one doing all the dirty work
