Killing a couple of chickens can happen if you teach dogs to go after birds, but not have taught them the proper way to do it.
Doesn't mean the dog is dangerous to anyone else. It especially doesn't mean that it's okay to murder them for it, rather than trying to find a more suitable environment for the dog.
We're more civilized now. We can find alternative and humane solutions if dogs don't meet some arbitrary expectation, rather than murdering them in cold blood.

Our dog loved to go after squirrels, rabbits, little critters. She had quite a prey drive.
