Without a free press, those who don’t own a press have no voice.

It’s what separates countries serving the whims of its chief executive king/queen, and countries ruled by laws reflecting what humanity has learned in centuries of combined work of millions.

One person cannot exceed that amount of knowledge and capability unless the general populace is kept stupid-er.
