A justice should not be associating with and attending political think tanks, they should not be allowed to serve when they've been bought and paid for via wealthy donors and 'gift givers' and
they CERTAINLY should not be allowed to rule on the actions of insurrectionists when their own SPOUSE is one of those insurectionists.
I've been writing/posting about this 'court' for nearly a week now, providing links to positions and op-eds by journalists, analysts, and historians, but the topic doesn't seem to get much play. Especially in the MSM.
But imo, it is perhaps the single greatest, possibly most pivotal issue we, as a nation are facing at this moment, because upon it hangs the survival of democracy itself.
By a ruling of immunity the SC will be assuring a dictatorship and in effect giving a Trump occupation the power over all law, life and death. The power to do what he has the power to do, as he himself once said.
Under a Trump dictatorship, presidential elections would end, political opposition would cease to exist for all practical purposes, Gaza would be doomed (he's already spoken on that), and so will all of those protesters. And that's just for starters.
There's no doubt about it.
Yet few seem to be worried about any of that. It's as if they don't believe it could happen.
