General Discussion

He was in the same senior living community as my mother, and was perhaps the most intelligent, perceptive person I've ever met. Born in evangelical Alabama, he was wise enough to discard the rightwing biases surrounding him, and moved on to a liberal life of maximum travel, learning, and atheism. I often re-read all of his books which he signed for my mother.
