There's rich and wealthy America in one domain, and there's white America in another. Racism is institutionalized, and while most whites don't see it, most non-whites find it to be at the core of their daily existence. I work among a predominantly mixed Latino and black community, and in those daily interactions, find it incredulous that there are a few polls showing an erosion of Latino and Black support for Biden, though some people might consider that outside the boundaries of Democratic party politics. But MAGA is the enemy, and among those people with whom I work, there's a high level of commitment, and enthusiasm, for casting a ballot against everything MAGA in November. And I think that sentiment is probably not showing up in polls that either deliberately ignore it, or which mistakenly overfactor the small percentage of individuals of color who are wealthy enough to be insulated from some racist attitudes.
