The whole thing was an exploitation and a big rip-off, but they did get some push back and comeuppance the from fake accounts some people would create, over and over again It was rather easy to get free albums and then CD's that way, some people say.

That still didn't make up for the profit from pushing CD's onto people with the choice of the month and the fact that you ended up paying much more fulfilling your "contractual obligation" than you would have just buying them at a retail outlet.
