The DU Lounge

I have been a DVC member for 20 years and I have watched the park fees go up and up over the past 10 years in particular. Some of it is related to COVID which really hurt the parks and hotels and some of it is the cost of doing business. If I wasn't a DVC member I could not afford to take my family to Disney. It was a smart investment that we made when our kids were young. Going anywhere is expensive now. Disney is fully aware of what it costs to visit the parks for a family of four and it does the best it can. Are they perfect? Absolutely not but I will say that my personal experiences with Disney have been good to excellent.
Most major theme parks are now charging over $70 or more daily to visit so Disney is not that out of line for what it offers it visitors. Go skiing at Vail or Park City and you are looking at $200 a day just for the lift ticket.
