I didn't want to offend anyone and wondered if restaurant owners might weigh in to explain/justify buffets.

I agree with other posters too--buffet is so bad for me because I also tend to overeat and most of the sides are carb loaded. When we left yesterday, I felt pretty gross. At the end of the day, I prefer to cook at home, then I can control sugar, salt, fat and portion size.
