(2,522 posts)8. Her "stubborn refusal" to concede in 2008 kept the news focus on the Democratic campaign.
If you recall 2004, when Kerry had the nomination in hand in March, the campaign went "dark". When the Democratic Party tried to re-ignite the campaign, Ronnie died and sucked up the news coverage for all of June. After that, it was exceptionally difficult to get any traction at all.
Our goal should be to keep Chris Mathews breathless. Maybe he'll hyperventilate and pass out on the air.
