12. I think it makes sense to elevate a legitimate death threat to a felony.

In most jurisdictions, to the best of my knowledge, a death threat is a Class 1 misdemeanor. It's punishable by jail time and a fine, but isn't a felony. Elevating it to a felony would also bar the convicted from lawful possession of firearms. I think that makes perfect sense.
