1. Gargle with iodized salt water.
Certainly no fun, but it works.

Gargle with a mix of half hydrogen peroxide, half warm water. It kills germs. Then drink some hot tea with honey and lemon.

Ok, I will try the tea I currently have. ANd when I next go out (when the temp is a little higher than now), I'll go for ginger. I'll look it up in my herb book. Thanks

I hope it gets better soon. Sore throats are the worst. I can take just about any other cold/flu symptom but that.

20. Well, I hope this doesn't develop into cold/flu...
It's sort of mild now, so maybe if I can treat it in the beginning...

..but if it's bacterial, you'll need medication. A Z-pak from your doctor will do the trick. OP

9. warm salt water with a 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda...the soda will
break up that horrible thick coating at the back of your throat which is irritating it in the first place...don't swallow this..ok, well if you do swallow it, you'll only do it once, BELIEVE me.

When I have a sore throat, it's usually a bacterial infection which requires antibiotics. If you can't get those, pain killers and lots of fluids seem to help. Best of luck to you, honey.

12. Whenever I get a sore throat-
I drink a pot of black coffee, with sugar- no milk or creamer. I still stay sick for days, but no more sore throat! Works everytime for me and my SO. Good luck! Sore throats are a bitch. :hi:

19. No, I had that a few weeks ago
I don't know if it was stomach flu, but whatever went into my mouth went right back out the same way. Take care of yourself!
