We covered Blair's leaving yesterday. My boss and I went to Downing Street to do a bit for the internet video unit. I wasn't allowed past the gate, so my boss ent me over to the antiwar demo across the street with a microphone to get sound and interviews. What an experience! I interviewed some protestors and a woman whose brother was killed in Iraq and wanted Blair to visit with them, sort of like Sheehan. I got some great sound of protestors chanting, as well. So if on your way back from work, you heard clips of protestors near 10 Downing Street, I most likeley recorded them.
Then my boss and I had to catch a taxi to get back to the office in time for Blair's last Question Time. We had to hoof it all the way to Trafalgar Square before we found an empty cab. The cab ride was fun. I still don't see how people could stand to drive in this city, much less becom taxi drivers here.
Today, not so insane, exept for the whole stupid Spice Girls thing.
Dammit, I had enought of that crap in high school!
