Long and short of it is they taught us how to use silverware in a way that is both foreign to me, and insanely hard to do as I had to switch up which hand I held stuff in (Apparently us lefties are doing it wrong.). Let me tell you, trying to pick up peas on the back of a fork with your non-dominate hand is not an easy task.
6. My wife is trained in etiquette, Japanese-style
She's a certified tea ceremony teacher among other things, so I've had someone making sure mine were up to snuff for a little while. Even still, a lot of the stuff presented was absolutely fascinating.
Is a certified tea master (teacher of teachers) and really went out of her way to welcome me to the family. She also ran the most civil dinner table I have ever seen.
