that is completely mind blowing how great it is...two cd's of just Peter playing the blues...someone just understood and engineered it to perfection...unbelievable...if you want to understand one of the great white boy English Blues guitar (writer, vocals & harp) this will absolutely kick your ass..
Mick Fleetwood is so tight and John McVie is right with him...Green's solo's on guitar WOW! Of course Green wrote "Black Magic Woman" and there's a great LOOONG version of it live at the Boston Tea Party, "Oh Well"...thirty-two tracks of heaven...if you ever wondered about Peter Green, this is the CD...I won't even listen to for a long, long while, to the studio Lp's after hearing this...A master (Green) at his finest...I saw Green twice recently at the Fillmore with his band "Splinter" even shook my idol's hand out in front of the Fillmore...but I was NOT prepare for how great this CD is, tracks I wasn't aware of and no "Albatross" or "Rattlesnake Shake" (not bluesy enough)...now I see perfectly why Carlos Santana, BB King and Duane Allman raved about Peter Green...I missed him at the Fillmore in those old early years...but listened as everyone including John Mayall spoke about him (he was in Mayall's Bluesbreakers, after Eric Clapton).
If you love the blues...I'm telling you, it's that hot.
The CD is NOT even listed on Amazon...it's called...
Peter Green/Fleetwood Mac "Jumping at Shadows, the blues years" Great fold out eight-pages (2002)
Shit, these people who put it together knew their shit!
Very, very tasty!
