McCain-Only acts of nature would keep him from getting the nomination. I know I know it is still early but look at the rest of the field.
Guiliani- well he could pull it off but the thumpers appear to have control of their party like they have pictures of everyone involved or something. I don't see him selling in Iowa are in the South.
Newt- God I know we don't talk as much as we should but can you help me out a bit...see there is this guy named Newt who could use your help :bounce:
8. I agree. If Hagel has the stamina, he'll pull it out, imo, at the debates.
You just never know how some are going to be once they're on the road - campaigning every day for hours is such an enormous drain mentally and physically, for any age.
Hagel has been very strong. He's an anomaly in the party because he walks the walk, and nowadays that will attract a lot of moderates.
If Hagel ran as an independent against Hillary (and "came around" on a few issues) I would have no problem voting for him. But I will never cast another Republican vote (yes, I've made that mistake).
No one wants Greg Brady to have his finger on the button do they?
:bounce:
Hmm it will be interesting to see. McCain has lined up the Rove machine or what is left of it behind him and he is openly pandering to the fundie thumper base.
As noted above-Hagel at least appears to have some distance, enough at least, between him and Bush.
This race is WIDE OPEN for a true outsider (out of DC) to step in and take it. Since we are only talking about them I will leave it at that.
11. Some of us have Municipal elections this spring, in may.
& primaries then generals for State Assembly & State Senate. I know the DEMs have a slight advantage in the State Senate in NJ, and many of us are hoping that we can knock off a few repubs.
So hopefully you will understand if I really dont give a shit about all these '08 threads right now.
I think he's a darkhorse, but a southern governor shouldn't be overlooked by the GOP, and the fundies will love his Baptist minister resume. Besides, think of those "I Like Mike" buttons :silly:
