4. He'll only serve half that |
|
and be out by the time Stupid leaves office.
That fine? Chump change. The inner circle will contribute and his out of pocket expenses will be small.
He was loyal and didn't rat out the Don. That deserves a reward, and he'll get it.

16. Apparently federal law mandates serving 80% before you're eligible for parole. |

9. I am beginning to agree with you that Bush won't pardon him. |
|
But I am sure Libby will somehow end up with a pile of money from somewhere.

8. Yes, that pic of him today said a 1000 words. |
|
He looked grim and shaken.
I wonder if he thought he would get a lighter sentence?

surprised by the sentence. He was shocked by the Judge's making it evident that he has not decided to allow Scooter to be free until his appeals run out.

13. I see, that is the piece that rattled him. He thought he would be free during appeal. |
|
If Scooter had shown some remorse, some indication that he understood the severity of his action, the judge might have been a bit more lenient?

18. I wonder if Libby is sitting at home wondering if it was all worth it? |
|
If he is thinking, "what did I gain here?"
Wish I knew what was going on in his mind tonight.

6. He will be pardoned--but |
|
If the judge sends him to jail immediately the pardon will happen sooner rather than later. This give the Senate and House a chance to investigate now rather than wait until the appeals process is over.
